RESEARCH: Links to Similar Artists/Bands - Analysis

Our chosen genre for our music video will be Hip Hop/Rap, we have chosen this genre as we are all quite familiar with the genre and the type of music it contains, it is a popular genre amongst our targeted audience and a very mainstream genre that is in the public eye. Hip Hop/ Rap is currently introducing new artists and becoming bigger within the music industry with artists such as Drake, Chance The Rapper, Post Malone, Macklemore, Migos and many, many others paving the framework for upcoming Hip Hop/Rap artists such as Cardi B and Rae Sremmurd.

Hip Hop/Rap music defers between artist and the music they bring out as sometimes the mood of the song can be rather upbeat or slow, depending on the type of audience you are trying to engage. For example, some hip hop/rap songs allow for dancing, an example of this is 'Rolex' by Ayo & Teo whereas other songs such as 'Perplexing Pegasus by Rae Sremmurd holds a slower beat and allows for a chilled vibe.
