TECHNICAL: Health and safety

Health and Safety:
We need to make sure that the camera is full on charge placed on the tripod when using it so that it does not fall off and break we have to ensure that the fast release plate is always on camera. we will make sure before picking up the tripod that we  check that the camera is safe and secure.

Filming at night & in the dark:
Secondly when filming at night/ in graffiti tunnels which is an environment we are not used to as its not local to us we need to make sure we will be safe and that are equipment is too. we could be at risk of getting our stuff stolen. To prevent this we will make sure our group sticks together to make sure the surrounding area is safe to use. We will also have someone to look around for cars, or people to warn them not to walk into our shots when we are filming.

Filming:
When we record we have to make sure that we have time for breaks, for food and drink and we should make sure that we are not tired so that we don't loose concentration and focus which could make us make mistakes.

When we are filming in a car park we should make sure that there are no cars coming in the way of our filming and we had to make sure we are not in the way of the customers who are parking.  Additionally in the tunnel we filmed at (waterloo tunnel) we had to make sure we are not obstructing street artists who we might get in the way. to prevent this we should choose areas in the tunnel which are not in use e.g. the end of it or the middle of tunnel.

Traveling to location:
when we travel we need to ensure that all equipment we take will return with us, so before traveling we check our equipment to make sure its with us so that we don't forget anything. When leaving, we will also count the equipment to make sure we don't forget anything.  When traveling by tube we will make sure every member has one piece of equipment so that its fairly distributed, e.g. one person holds dolly bag, other holds tripod and lastly someone has the camera bag/ lights/mic.

Use of Props:
When traveling we will need to ensure that we don't damage any props such as the champagne bottle which we brought to a filming location as then it wouldn't be usable. Additionally we were filming on a car park so if cars do drive we should leave the premises as we would obstruct We need to make sure whatever props we use that we use them properly and not break anything if we do.

Electrical equipment:
We need to make sure that whatever lighting we use that it is not at risk of being near water as the mixture of both could cause a hazard also to make sure that we use plugs which are secure and not got any electrical issues.

When using filming equipment such as lights and camera we need to ensure to keep the cables tucked away and make that our characters are aware of where the wires are so that no one trips over them and hurts themselves

Evaluation:
based on these health and safety measures we can ensure that we will include all of these when we are filming as these can impact the quality of our filming. We will ensure that these are taken into consideration as if we are reckless and leave camera equipment at school we will not have it to film so our production quality would go down due to the equipment not being with us.
